| Built from 1792 to 1855, this was the home of a pioneer horticulturist of antebellum Natchez, Dr. John Carmichael Jenkins. In 1853, entries in his diary describe the building of the "new house" being built at the rear of Elgin. This two-storied brick building is now the bed and breakfast guest house with three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen. | ![]() |
